Super Smash
Flash 2,
generically abbreviated as SSF2, is a non-profit Flash based
fan fighting game developed by the Developer group with the same group which is
led by Cleod9 Productions and is published in support with McLeod Gaming.
Initially, it was released as a sequel of the prior version as Super Smash Flash 2 full version. But,
eventually it turned out to be the reboot of the first version and is loosely
amalgamated version of Super Smash Bros Brawl and the Bros series.
Characters and appearance:
There are many
similarities between the Bros series and this game that the characters are
straight derived out of the bros series with names, Mario, Kirby and Link.
However, Super Smash Flash 2 full
version is not designed in order to act as clone to the Bros Brawl but the
inclusion of the content is more like a collaboration of many games that
appeared on the Nintendo console platform which allows roster access to players
beyond two, and is not limited to Ichigo, Lloyd, Goku or Ichigo. Super Smash Flash 2 full version’s game
play is almost the same as the official Bros initial version. The character’s
health is based on the damage percentage unlike other fighting games. When the
character is attacked by an enemy, the damage grows increasing the percentage
value of damage. When the percentage starts growing, the character will be
knocked off after reaching a saturation stage.
Moves and Controls:
The controls
that are to be used in Super Smash Flash
2 full version are different to that of before. A, S, D, W is used to
regulate the moves of Player 1 while the arrows are assigned for the other one.
O and P remains with Player 1, in which O is used for special moves and P for
standard attacks. I am used for the shield and 1 is used for taunting. However,
Player 2 uses the 1 on number pad for special moves, 2 for standard moves, 3
and 4 for shielding and taunting. The controls can be customized by changing
the menu settings. U is used to grab the weapon while Space and Back are used for
selecting and pausing actions.
Modes:
The three modes
that are available in this version are the Stock mode, Time mode and the
combination of these two modes. In Time mode, a point is given to each player
each time they KO an enemy and loses when they get KO’d. The player with most
points at the end of the time limit wins. In Stock mode, numbers of lives are
assigned to each player and each time they get KO’d, they lose a life. The
player who loses all the lives are considered as defeated, while the other one
remains a winner.
