Hop Hop Away – iPhone app review

Do you hate animal abuse? And you want to help them to get away from the cruelty? Well, in reality it might be tough, but Hybrid Humans have tried to make this happen in virtual world, where you can help abused bunnies to escape from a circus and its cruel ring master. The team hasdesigned a new puzzle action game, Hop Hop Away, in which the abused bunnies live in an EVOL circus who need help for escaping the circus and its cruel ring master through four different environments, and be able to reach the Happy Farm.

It is a two-dimensional world where the player has to solve puzzle at each level and utilize the mechanics in this game to cheer up the bunnies through their journey. As the player progresses in the game, eating berries and candy open up portals to secret levels and gives the opportunity to fill up the happy meter with good deeds. The player has to strategies their moves intelligently and interacts with the world’s objects to help them in coming out of danger.

The CEO of Hybrid Humans said that they wanted to highlight the poor condition of the abused animals in circuses,who are forced to entertain, people through this game.It is said to be inspired by the Lemmings game. Since candy and berries are the favorite treats of bunnies, these have been used in the game that has to be taken in right order to jump into portals or disco dance.

During their first public testing at Middle East Film and Comic Con they got consistent feedback for the good and bad in this game. The developers of Hop Hop Away found feedback and behavior of the public towards the perception of this game to be of great help for its improvement. After trying a lot of different looks and sketches the designers came to the final and cute appearance of the bunny, which has big eyes, fluffy tail and wonky ears. The reason was to relate the players to the character regardless of its small size in the game level.

This game is available to be played only on iOS and Android supporting devices such as iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, optimized for iPhone 5, iPhone 6, iPhone 6Plus, iOS 8.0 (or later) and with 228 MB. It is priced at USD2.99 and can be availed through the App Store in the Games category, worldwide. Through the challenging levels and cute visuals the Hybrid Humans have targeted the casual gamers. It is a young indie studio that believes video games can impact in positive way on the gamers and inspire them in bringing some change to make this world a happier place.
